HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED THE COLLEGE
Maxine Greene is recognized as one of America's foremost philosophers of education, authoring multiple books and hundreds of articles, essays and reviews. She identified herself as philosopher, author, teacher and social activist. Viewing the arts as one of the most powerful vehicles for effecting social change, she influenced thousand of students and teachers during her career. Maxine believed in possibility and in Utopian thinking. She brought those beliefs, her energy and her support to our new College as a member of our Founding Board of Trustees. Maxine was a member of the Board of Trustees until her death in 2014. |
Betty English spent her professional life in the world of education - first as teacher, then principal, and retiring as Superintendent of Warren schools in Ohio. She brought her extensive experience to the College as a member of the Founding Board of Trustees. Her enthusiasm, support and friendship were critical to our new initiative. Betty was a member of the Board of Trustees until her death in 2012. |
Deb Nash 1933-2025
M.A. Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio B.A. Mount Holyoke, South Hadley, Massachusetts Deb Nash was an active educator and philanthropist. She worked as a school counselor for 26 years and is active in the Cleveland community serving on several boards. Deb served as advisor to the University School Teacher Apprentice Program for its 22 years. Deb served on our Advisory Board from 2018 until her passing this March. We celebrate Deb's friendship and support for TNTC. She will be missed. |
Everett Cataldo brought decades of experience and expertise in university administration and assessment to The National Teachers College Board. Everett spent 28 years in various positions at Cleveland State University. Everett's work with state and national accreditation was especially valuable in putting the College's assessment and accreditation protocols in place. Everett was a member of the Board of Trustees until his death in 2019.
