In keeping with its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, The National Teachers College maintains and enforces a policy of equal educational opportunity and does not discriminate on the basis of religion, race, color, ethnic or cultural origin, social level, political affiliation, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or physical ability respecting its policies of admissions and treatment of its students. This policy, originally developed and enforced as a voluntary expression of the guiding philosophy of the College, is now required in many of its particulars by federal and state laws, to which The National Teachers College is committed and does adhere.

The students who participate in courses and programs at the College are expected to adhere to this same standard.
Privacy Statement
The National Teachers College does not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. We may require personal information as part of your application to The National Teachers College. We hold this information in strictest confidence. We do not sell or share your information with any person, company or entity. We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems. We restrict access to personal information to TNTC employees who need that information in order to process it.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act FERPA
The National Teachers College affords students all rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Title IX: Preventing Sex and Gender Discrimination, Harassment and Sexual Assault
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education. It reads: “No person in the United States shall on the basis of sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” While often understood to apply to athletics programs, Title IX is much broader than athletics and applies broadly at The National Teachers College.
Authorization
The National Teachers College is incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)3 private institution of higher education. The College’s corporate headquarters are located in Cleveland, Ohio.
The College operates its administrative functions out of its headquarters in Cleveland, but does not have a main campus. The graduate programs are conducted in a face-to-face format, with each partner school serving as a clinical training site for the College. Faculty are hired to teach the graduate courses at each site.
The College is authorized by the Ohio Department of Higher Education to grant the Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Ohio. TNTC adheres to the standards and requirements of the Ohio Department of Education and to those of the national accreditor for teacher preparation programs - CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation). Additionally, TNTC's curriculum and pedagogy are informed by the standards of each national content organization: National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM); National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE); National Science Teaching Association (NSTA); National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS); the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the International Literacy Association (ILA) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
