Richard Scaldini's professional life reflects the blending of successful careers as a college president, investment banker, management consultant and teacher scholar. These diverse experiences have enabled him to work effectively with the complex of strategic, operational, and policy issues that today confront many nonprofit, higher education and business organizations.
In addition to his appointed positions and his consulting practices, Scaldini has undertaken several interim administrative positions through the Registry of College and University Presidents. These have included positions as interim president and dean, as well as various consultative positions. In 2010, Scaldini was appointed by the State of Connecticut's Office of the Arts to the Peer Advisor Network, a group of approximately 15 consultants providing advice to small non-profit organizations.
Scaldini earned his Ph.D. in French Literature from Yale University; his MBA in finance from Columbia School of Business and his bachelor's from Tufts University. Additionally, Scaldini attended Harvard University's Institute for Higher Education, The University of Paris-Sorbonne and the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris.
